Schulte Table

Click the numbers 1, 2, 3… in order before time runs out. 8 levels: 9 numbers up to 49.

Click the numbers in order, 1, 2, 3…, before time runs out

Background
Is it clear how to play?

About 5 minutes. Not medical advice. Stop if you feel dizzy, nauseous or strained.

How it works

A grid of numbers in random places. Click 1, then 2, then 3 and so on, as fast as you can. Level 1: 9 numbers in 15 seconds. Level 8: 49 numbers in 90 seconds. A right click flashes green, a wrong click flashes red; found numbers do not stay marked. Each level allows 2 wrong clicks: the 3rd wrong click, or running out of time, ends the test.

What it measures

A Schulte table measures visual search: how quickly you find things in order across a grid. Practice makes you faster at this task; claims that it improves reading speed or peripheral vision in general are not well supported. A quick measure of how you did on this test today, on this device. Practice makes you better at the test itself; it is not a medical or IQ test.
