What this measures

This is eyes-only practice: there is no score, just a session summary that counts toward your streak. There is no webcam or eye tracker here.

It does not diagnose anything, and it does not claim to improve anything beyond performance on this task. Reported times include display and input latency from your own hardware.

Stop if you feel dizzy, nauseous or strained.

How it works

Follow the ball with your eyes only. No mouse, no finger: just watch it closely as it moves along the shape. Pick one shape or build a playlist.

Your result

Eye-tracking practice (session summary, no score). Higher is better. Each difficulty (Easy, Normal, Hard) keeps its own personal best, and custom settings are saved but not ranked, so your bests stay comparable.

Read this before you compare

Eyes only: keep your head still and follow the ball with your eyes. Practice can make following smoother and more accurate; the top speed your eyes can follow is set by the brainstem and doesn't change. Not medical advice. Stop if you feel dizzy, nauseous or strained.

The science, briefly

Your eyes move in a few distinct ways. Smooth pursuit keeps a moving thing in focus. Saccades are the quick jumps between points. Fixation is holding still on one point while the world moves around it.

Practice can change how accurately you land, how quickly you start a movement and how well you hold back one you did not want. The top speed of these movements is set by the brainstem and does not rise with practice.

Eye exercises do not improve eyesight or change a glasses prescription. If your vision changes, see an optometrist.

Tips

  • Keep your head still and your eyes doing the work.
  • Sit at the same distance each time. The Screen Size Check in Tools makes sizes comparable.
  • Short sessions are enough. Rest your eyes between rounds.
