195 countries

Flags: flag-icons (MIT licence). 195 countries = 193 UN members + Vatican City and Palestine (UN observer states). Data checked October 2026; capitals and languages can change.

How it works

Levels: a flag appears and you answer three questions about it: which continent, which country, and one of its official (or national) languages. Level 1 has 10 well-known flags, then 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, and level 7 has all 195 countries. 3 mistakes in a level end the run; finishing a level unlocks it so you can start there next time. Quiz: 100 questions about countries, capitals, continents, languages and currencies, in 4 levels (10, 30, 30, 30). You have 5 lives for the whole run: the 5th mistake sends you back to question 1 with a fresh set. Questions come from a bank of over 1,000; each run is about 70% questions you have not seen and 30% you have. Click an answer or press 1–4. Browse every flag A–Z below the test.

What it measures

195 countries: the 193 UN member states plus the two UN observer states, Vatican City and Palestine. Continents use the common seven-continent model (Central America and the Caribbean count as North America); some countries span two continents, and either answer is never used as a wrong option. Languages are official or national languages; several countries have many (South Africa 12, Zimbabwe 16, India 22 in the Constitution) or none in law (e.g. Australia, Mexico in practice). A quick measure of how you did on this test today, on this device. Practice makes you better at the test itself; it is not a medical or IQ test.
